Hi All,
I took my MTX late Saturday evening and I usually have no problems other than tiredness the next day. But today I have felt quite unwell, I have had a headache since wakening, a slight stiffness in my left hand, and felt sickly as the day progressed. Also I have felt cold all day, is this a common reaction as I have not experienced this before. I was out seeing my parents today and I was glad when I got home, as I just didn't feel well all day. I now have a slight dizziness when moving my head, which is annoying me. Hope I feel better tomorrow. Lorna x

Hi Lorna,
I haven't had headaches with mtx but I'm sure it's a possible side effect. With the dizziness though, I would say that if it is still there in the morning you should see your GP. The feeling cold and generally unwell could mean you are sickening for something so I wouldn't let it go on any longer than tomorrow morning. Hope you have a good night's sleep tonight and feel better soon.
Love, Doreen xx

Hi Lorna, ive found that taking mx late at night makes me feel yuck the next day, like morning sickness or a hangover. Do you take your in one hit or do you split the dose?
Hope you're feeling better today

Hi Lorna Hope your feeling better today..I inject my mtx on a sun morning and always wake up with the worst headache on a monday! Also can feel nauseus and lightheaded, the thing is if this is a new reaction for you then it might be that you are coming down with something best to see the doc, take care and let us know xx

Hello Lorna
Hope you are feeling better today. Cannot add anything helpful as not happenned to me. Did you end up ringing GP or RA nurse ?
I am still sufferring from BPPV (a type of vertigo ) and that causes major dizzyness, I do hope this is not what you are getting.

hi Lorna,
hope you are feeling better today.
maybe you are coming down with something ... if you feel it's the Methotrexate then i am sure you will contact your Rheumy Nurse and see what she says.
take care,

Hi Everyone, Thank you for the replies, I am feeling better today but I still have aches in my hands. This is annoying me as it must be the cold weather. I don't normally have problems on MTX so maybe it was a combination of tiredness and feeling run down, not sure but I did feel much better today. I was working in the morning, but just chilled when I came home. Thanks again, Lorna xx
